Was planning to upgrade my desptop, cos it's getting slow and it's 6 yrs old .. really time to change. but i also need a laptop for work purpose, so that i can get on the net or prepare quotes and invoices on the move and in the near future, do some computer aided designs.. the best plan was to have both a new laptop and a new desktop, but .. it involves too much money, so the desktop had to wait, hopefully can have that by the end of the year.
Pc show is currently running at suntec and i arranged to go down with bingwei on a working day (friday) so there won't be too many people. lunchtime will be crowded, cos people pop by suring lunch, so out superb plan. mee at 1pm for lunch at a famous bak chor mee place near lavander mrt, pop over to suntec for pc show at 2pm, take a look and make our purchases
Part 1 of the plan went well, the food was good. then we decided to go in 1 car so that it's easy to park and less expensive, then once we turned into nicole highway, the jam starts, as if there was a huge accident in front..
Sianz.. luckily we are not far from the nicole highway entrance to suntec carpark. slow moving traffic.. i think we were stuck for more than half and hour..
i could even notice this when we were stuck in the jam. who the hell mounted this poster, even if the person doesn't understand english, there should be a supervisor making sure things are done correctly right? how can they allow a poster to be put up like that!!! but it was quite funny though..
Finally we reached the entrance to the car park.. but it was blocked, cos the carpark was full!! and there's a a long jam ahead. so i dropped and bingwei drove somewhere else to park .. in the end he didn't get into the show cos all parking cpaces are all neighbouring buildings are all full!! if you make a wrong turn, you are goint to get yourself into another jam. so i chop chop go up get my laptop and left. laptop will arrive 2 weeks later...
Cruz was there hosting a show and cos i was late, i didn't get a good spot for photos. but i guess with so many more pro photographers around, there shouldn't be a lack of nice photos of him.
Got the seagate free agent Go 80Gb for meili. comes with 5 yr warranty,and it looks really chio in black and orange..
During every computer fair, you never fail to see this huge wastage of paper.. and this is only a small little part of the 2 big hall. i wonder how much of these brochures are collected and thrown away at the end of the show.
