Happy JS Day part 2

Another simple celebration for js' birthday. This time round just jx js jt and jl, and if you have forgotten, it's the j4.. hahaha
Dinner at basil alcove, followed by chilling out at dempsey hill, initial intention was to go ps cafe, but it was far too crowded and we didn't know how long will the wait be, so we took a walk around the area.walked to the ben & jerry's cafe and there were available seats, instead of waiting for one at ps cafe, we decided to settle for it here. they had some kind of promotion for national day as well as uob card, so instead of 6 scoops, we got 8 scoops of ice cream..

Everyone felt that this whole think looks more like ice kachang... i'm not sure if it's because of the crowd that made them rush through making the ice cream or is the standard like that all the while. this merlion thing looks like merlion's vomit!! the whipped cream seems over whipped. we should have asked for the toppings on a seperate bowl. or even better, every scoop on it's individual bowl.An as usual, before anyone can start eating, there must be a round of photo taking, it's always more interesting to have photos on your blog to illustrate what you want to bring across right? and here's all the gadgets we have for times where the moment is to be captured, of course my big one was currently in use.

And it has been a long while since i use the label j4, which means the 4 of us haven't met up for so long, i almost thought i couldn't use this label anymore. i wonder who's the busy one.....

Congrats Mr Law

Finally jl is getting his long awaited freedom, and we are getting back out long lost friend.. After months of anticipation , he has finally finished his praticum and we can finally have a good meal together.. and jt was able to get off work early!! so off we went for a super early dinner at kenny rogers even though it was known to have worms in their food.. after realising that nest d'lights at suntec has closed down.. went over to sakae to meet js after he knocked off from work.. j4 has come together again after such a long time..

Congratulation... enjoy your well deserved break.. but 3 months of break soo too long hor?.. come work part time in reno biz leh? mr wang might need a helper..

Sentosa - A Pictorial Post

Js suggested going sentosa and since i was intending to go watch songs of the sea, we arranged a trip there. but sadly, there wasn't good responses, there were only 4 of us in the end, but it's a good thing too cos 4 is a good number to take in a car. And js ripple sr with me.. had a wonderful day at sentosa, lot's of photos, loved them 3, wonderful models! The sun was hiding behind the clouds for most of the time while we were there, so ended up taking lot's of photos instead of tanning under the sun.

At 6 plus, we went to wash up to prepare for the entry to the new attraction at sentosa, songs of the sea, which is supposed to replace the famous musical fountain that has fasinated me even when i was a little boy, even before laser was added in. then we were totally captivated by the water sprays dancing and swaying to the music. expectation for this new show was really high, moreover you gotta pay $6 to watch it now. at 7pm, ,long queues had been formed at each of the 5 entrances!! wow!.. because it's free seating, i guess there will be people who want to get the best seats and the only way is to get there early and wait.

Doors opened at 7:20 and we got quite a good seat, queueing up for 20 mins was quite worth it. stage set was beautiful, looked like a fishing village, the beach became the performance stage and the sea was the backdrop. show started on time at 7:40pmclick on the photo for a larger version.
Was rather disappointed, i felt that it could have been better, the laser, the lighting effects and the fire effects were good, but the dancing fountain has lost it's magical touch, i wasn't impressed by the non swaying water sprays at all... water that can dance to the beat of the music have became a thing of the past, only found in my memories... let's hope sentosa will improve on that part and present a better show, so i guess you can't call it the musical fountain anymore.

jx looked at js and i guessed the same thought arised "j4..haven't heard it for a long while, is this group still around?"
I haven't been blogging with the j4 label for a long time, and i hope this is not the last. Ok.. let's not spoil the mood for the evening.. it's dinner time
Walked a while around vivo to look for a place for dinner, and when i saw that kim gary was queue-less... i just had to try it after hearing the comments from the place. so there we went. and with sr being a frequent visitor to hk around, he should know if the food is autentic tasting (i think he goes hk more frequently than i go sentosa). you can see my reviews by clicking on the "kim gary" link above.
Walked past pat's oven and got some toasted wasabi macadamia nuts.. and spent the rest of the evening laughing at js as he hiccuped his whole night away!... thanks guys for the wonderful weekend! Photos were suberb.. a good lens is nothing without you sporting people being the models..

Dinner with J4

Met up with j4 for dinner yesterday, thanks to jl for organising it. it was nearly called off because of certain issues, lets not talk about that. initial plan was to go to this hk cafe called xin wang at cenileisure, but because of the heavy rain and js had no umbrella, we went to takashimaya instead, and js suggested eating at ajitei japanese crusine and desert at basement 2. everyone had quite a hilarious time suaning each other and i guess it cheered up jt whose supposed to not be in a good mood that evening. oh and coincidentally all 4 of us wore black, wah.. here's my favourite photo of the day...

Proceeded to coffee club for some drinks and dessert after dinner and to continue to chit chat and we were given a seat by the window.
The window looked down to the first floor of the shopping centre!! wow, it was a little scary sitting by the side.
We had a good time catching up and planning on the next trip (hhmmm but i think there was no concrete outcome from the discussion, had a wonderful fresh fruit fondue, a wonderful evening to start the weekend.

Christmas Celebration 4

I'm posting this and a few more items from genting highlands starbucks, they have free wireless access here, and because i have already reached my losing limit for gambling, there's nothing much i can do here except to post blog .. so here goes..

It was christmas day and we planned to have a small gathering at js' place just for j4... the plan was to go to the supermarket together to get the bbq stuffs and then have bbq for dinner before having some drinks the end the evening... but we did more that that in the end.

The first thing you will realise when you got the js' place is that the decor is quite meng... lots of items hanging on the wall, lots of statues and shiny stuffs everywhere .. and the thing that caught all our eyes.. the row of photos displayed at the dining room..we couldn't stop laughing at this photo.. looks kinda retro and he has got long hair!! i think this photo of him looks very much like his dad, probably that's why his mum insisted that this photo has to be displayed... it was drizzling lightly, but that won't stop us from the bbq, lucky have have jl who volunteered to set up the fire, but i think he took quite a while the jt became a little bored....
I think you can see that we bought a little too much food for 4 person (there was almost all kind of meat, chicken pork mutton crab prawns fish squid beef), but in the end we managed to finish up most of the items..
Decided to take a break halfway through finishing the food because we really couldn't take it, jt took out the photo album that he made on our taiwan trip, wow!! effort 101% man!! it was a beautiful album, brings back all the good memories of the short trip.
After the photos, it was presents exchange!! ... what's the first thing bloggers do when they receive presents...take a photo of them so that they can blog about it... the answer is the same to many other silimar question like what's the first thing bloggers do when the food they ordered is served etc etc ...
Drinking time!! .. look what jl brought!! as usual, we had to place everything nicely for photo taking, else there won't be such nice pictures here...
My favourite drink, the lychee martini. actually i think i had quite a lot of this drink this festive season and i can say that this one is the best one of the lot... probably because jl is a pro from zouk and i happen to like the zouk's concoction of the drink. maybe i should get myself a shaker too so that i can have this at home.. oh and finally the martini glasses that mingbao and jiehong gave me for last christmas can be brought out for use!

After this drinking session, i think jt can drink super well ... always say dun like to drink, but actually couching tiger hidden dragon hor... anyway!! this marks the end of the christmas holidays ... merry christmas j4... 3 cheers for the wonderful friendship
