I was a gloomy rainy day yesterday.. wasn't in a good mood to start the day off. but i guess it got better in the evening. went down to town and saw this sight.
Wow, felt that i was in gentings, i wonder how it looked like from the top of the uob tower, i bet it would be quite nice. clouds were so low yesterday that most tall buildings were hiden in them. Finally works at the central and tampines are generally completed, mad rush week is finally over... weekend is coming!! Yeh
A day in town followed by a day in tampines.. today it will be tampines and clarke quay concurrently!!! reno for both places are progressing quite well, most of the things are up already. both places still in quite a mess though..
Yesterday was quite a peaceful day, no hic ups, nothing to get anyone fumming up, work has been carried out quite successfully... customer has got no complains... let's hope that today will be as well too!! looking forward to a nice weekend!

Yesterday was another busy day, installation was carried out at the central for js gallery. js is a term that appears quite often in my blog, but this js has no relation to that js in case you think this shop is opened by js.. 
Work was carried out there till 12am at night.. went there to pick up the workers and end up fuming!! we have a china worker, let's call him wang. the following conversation was carried out in mandarin.
[while packing up the place]
jx: since we didn't bring any broom, sweep all out rubbish into the shop and we'll bring a broom to clean it up tomorrow
wang: no need, just sweep it to the side, it will dissappear even before we come tomorrow
jx: i do not want any complains, sweep it into the shop
wang: [still sweeping it to the side, into another shop's area and ignored jx]
jx: can can understand what i'm talking about? sweep into our shop and we'll clear it tomorrow
wang: [continue to ignore and walked away to a neighbouring shop]
jx: [half fuming] hello, where are you going to?
wang: [walks back with a cardboard box and started to claer the rubbish into the box]
jx: [feeling happy] ok good, later we'll throw it downstairs at the rubbish dump
wang: [finish clearing, take the box back to the shop where he got the box and dump the box there]
jx: hey, how can you just throw our rubbish into another person's shop?
wang: they have lots of rubbish there too
jx: but that's their rubbish, how can you expect them to clear for you? what will you do if others throw their rubbish into your pile of rubbish and you have to clear for them?
wang: aiya, dun bother so much lah, it's late, let's just go.. go ..go
[on the way downstairs]
wang: in this world, there are good and bad people and there are more bad people than good ones.
jx: [very angry] ok then you are choosing to be the majority right? to be a bad person.
wang: [silent]
[downstairs at the road, waiting to cross, red light for pedestrian, the long road was clear]
jx: ok, let's cross
wang: [stand by the road] huh? you crossing? i tot you are a good person, how can you break the law?
jx: !!!!!!!!
any suggestions of how to deal with a person like that?
Have been really busy with work since dec.. a few projects to rush for, all the shops want things up asap so that they can open for business as early as possible... rushing this post brfore going to work now. delivered the cabinets last night till so late that when i was driving home, i was so tired that i missed a few exits, in the end the journey back took so much longer than usual... hai...
If you happen to be in tampanies, do go to telepark #01-01 (hygeia) to take a look... if you are in town, do go to the new shopping centre at clarke quay mrt called the central and take a look at #03-53(js gallery) ... but they won't be ready till next week i guess!!
Here's a peek of hygeia, look at the light at the corner, it's there not to light up the area cos there's already many lights there, it's there for feng shui, that's the wealth spot (cai wei) and there has to be a light shot directly at it.. and auspicious stuffs have been buried in the ground at that spot under the cement on the ground... actually these feng shui stuffs can be quite interesting... will post more when i'm more free... going to work now..
Now we are waiting for time to past at the klcc starbucks .. yes starbucks is getting our business because of the free internet.. since i'm so free here .. here's more photos and info to share..
While waiting for the bus to get to kl, we explored the coaches booths here and found this company called transtar, i think their coaches are quite good and reasonably priced.

While walkiing into suria klcc we saw rotiboy, once very famous in singapore and bursted in just a while. looks like things are slightly different in malaysia, you still see long queue for the roti..
We went to madam kwan's for early dinner, you really gotta try this place if you come to kl, it has the best local food!! 
When i saw this waiter with so many plates in one hand, i couldn't resist but to take a photo of him. i sounded very rushy because the laptop is runing out of battery... see you back in singapore...
We have checked out of our room... another 100rm had been donated to uncle lim from each of us... we were so tired that we decided to skip the free breakfast provided by the hotel, actually the food was not bad, we went for the breakfast at 630am yesterday and probably because we were early, all breakfast items in the buffet were still available. a bad thing about the buffet is that it's served in such a hugh quantity that it reminds me of the time where i had to eat in the cookhouse when i was still in the army... look at the bread... dun you all think so?
Everything had to be budget cos we weren't winning, so we can only look at all the posh restaurants here and settle for cheaper fast food, yesterday's dinner was burger king. in the 2 days here, we have pratically tried all the fast food joints, from mac to kfc to marybrown and finally burger king.... sorrows of a loser... hahaha
Finally, this is how i could actually update the blog and chat with some of your guys on msn, it's starbucks free wireless internet service, and the connection speed is quite fast i must say. there're quite some wireless operators here but only this is provided free, you only need to buy something from them. btw the smallest cup of mocha ice blended is rm$12+ ...but compared to rm$10 of internet usage per hour, this is much more worth it..
See you all back in singapore!! it's back to work again, i predict a super busy weekend ahead because i had to rush for a project, renovation of the shop has to be completed by monday..
This post is quite interesting because i'm posting it as i'm going through the event. me and terry are now in gentings for a gambling trip. we came here by coach from jb and it was so empty that we can lean the seat all the way back... see our biz class seats? yes.. i know the seat cover is very lc (low class)..
First thing we do when we reach genting at 6am in the morning was to look for breakfast, and there's always the ever reliable macdonalds... had a filling breakfast and immediaely proceeded to the casino since we cannot check in till 11am
Had quite a good start in the casino for the first half hour .. won about rm400 then bad luck strike when we start playing carribean stud poker!! we lost rm1200 in the game alone... next was to go check in... and we check into the world's largest hotel!! the first world hotel...I was quite delighted to know that we got a room on the 20th floor.. until we got there and realise that the window view was actually just another room.. we are in the middle of the building.. so much for largest hotel...
First thing that greeted us when we open our window was a pair of quite large sized skin colour underwear hanging by the window on the opposite side. click on photo to enlarge
Dinner at kenny rogers.. losing quite a lot then so we couldn't afford anything more expensive than that.. so sad..
No photographs near the table, but they didn't say no photos further from the tables so here how the casino looked like from a camera phone, an slr would be too attention seeking in a casino..
The chips we have left at the end of the first day ... which soon ... very soon .. got returned to the casino and we are currently left with a rm$2.50 chip.... that's how bad we are .. will be going for one last shot in a while .. if you are reading this... remember to pass us some luck ok? ... look out for part 2 tomorrow... unless if we dun even have money to buy starbucks, cos free internet is available if you buy something from starbucks!!
Planed to have a mahjong marathon for new year's eve but plans failed... wanted to start at 1pm.. but by the time everyone arrives, it was 3pm and we could only play 1 round before libing has to meet his family for dinner. so me bingwei and meili decided to go stirling road for some chilli crabs for dinner... haha what an interesting new year's eve dinner.
After dinner, we proceede to bingwei's place for round 2 of mahjong and we got the required stuffs for lychee martini, so that we can have some booze to usher in the new year!! but this time round there's no matini glasses so we have to make do with whatever we can find in the cupboards, no shaker so we use spoons to stir..haha .. it tasted quite funny.. see the photo below, we made the drink at the sink some more .. how more low class can we get...
As usual, when libing meets meili, he will force meili to touch his breast!!

Went for dinner with the powerpuff girls and the xiao hu dui to celebrate regina and joey's.. this time is was full turnout cos zhiyi is back from australia for school holidays... had dinner and cake cutting at sushi tei before proceeding to party world at shenton way for ktv... got many christmas presents from them too.. 
Lawrence and lengleng just came back from a holiday trip at australia and had an interesting experience. they took singapore airlines and the flight was scheduled at 11pm at night. just before boarding, volunteers were asked to take the next flight cos that flight was overbooked!! wah, how was that possible? anyway, they volunteered and got $500 cash as compensation and a free upgrade to biz class, on top of that, they got a free 1 night stay at a hotel and all transport to and fro airport paid for .. super good deal man .. so they took the next morning flight .. and guess what, they are looking for volunteers again!! hahaha but i guess what they got was enuff and they proceeded with the trip!!
This picture above is my favourite photo of the day.. ok.. after dinner .. we went ktv and only 5 mins after we sat down, regina got a call from home, his dad was in some kind of emergency and she had to go back cos might need to get him to hospital.... blah blah blah ... we ended up in tan tock seng hospital with her family. so no more karaoke ... luckily her dad was alright and we went to hong kong cafe to continue the celebration..

Watched death note marathon at gv last week. it was indeed a good show, a must watch if you haven't so much better then the boring flower show .. the marathon is worth every cent of it. lots of interesting twist in the show. i shouldn't spoil the show for those who haven't watch. couldn't find any photo of it yet, will do so later and post it here... go watch the show!
Watch the highly acclaimed curse of the golden flower with a few friends... hai.. wasted money, the show is so boring.. except for the showcases of boobs in the show.. the plot is boring, the show is slow moving, but at least the colour showcase is fantastic, the yellow flowers, the golden armour, silver armour etc... but if you haven't watch it, i think you can wait for the dvd...
I'm posting this and a few more items from genting highlands starbucks, they have free wireless access here, and because i have already reached my losing limit for gambling, there's nothing much i can do here except to post blog .. so here goes..
It was christmas day and we planned to have a small gathering at js' place just for j4... the plan was to go to the supermarket together to get the bbq stuffs and then have bbq for dinner before having some drinks the end the evening... but we did more that that in the end.
The first thing you will realise when you got the js' place is that the decor is quite meng... lots of items hanging on the wall, lots of statues and shiny stuffs everywhere .. and the thing that caught all our eyes.. the row of photos displayed at the dining room..
we couldn't stop laughing at this photo.. looks kinda retro and he has got long hair!! i think this photo of him looks very much like his dad, probably that's why his mum insisted that this photo has to be displayed... it was drizzling lightly, but that won't stop us from the bbq, lucky have have jl who volunteered to set up the fire, but i think he took quite a while the jt became a little bored....
I think you can see that we bought a little too much food for 4 person (there was almost all kind of meat, chicken pork mutton crab prawns fish squid beef), but in the end we managed to finish up most of the items..
Decided to take a break halfway through finishing the food because we really couldn't take it, jt took out the photo album that he made on our taiwan trip, wow!! effort 101% man!! it was a beautiful album, brings back all the good memories of the short trip.
After the photos, it was presents exchange!! ... what's the first thing bloggers do when they receive presents...take a photo of them so that they can blog about it... the answer is the same to many other silimar question like what's the first thing bloggers do when the food they ordered is served etc etc ...
Drinking time!! .. look what jl brought!! as usual, we had to place everything nicely for photo taking, else there won't be such nice pictures here...
My favourite drink, the lychee martini. actually i think i had quite a lot of this drink this festive season and i can say that this one is the best one of the lot... probably because jl is a pro from zouk and i happen to like the zouk's concoction of the drink. maybe i should get myself a shaker too so that i can have this at home.. oh and finally the martini glasses that mingbao and jiehong gave me for last christmas can be brought out for use!

After this drinking session, i think jt can drink super well ... always say dun like to drink, but actually couching tiger hidden dragon hor... anyway!! this marks the end of the christmas holidays ... merry christmas j4... 3 cheers for the wonderful friendship
It was christmas eve and we went over to sufang and chunguan's new place at bt timah. so this was a xmas cum housewarming session... i knew most of the people here from uni, generally the band people... we had bbq to start the evening off and some interesting stuffs about this particular bbq...
There was a mini fridge for chilling the drinks and beer at the bit... not that it's provided by the condo management but chunguan actually brought it downstairs to use, there's also a deep fryer so that we have more variety of food.
Here's the spread we had that evening, tequila prawns which taste much better cooked on the aluminium foil as compared to bbqing directly on the pit. there was satay, beef, chicken , pork, and even giant mushrooms!!!
After dinner, we packed up and went over to their place for games ... we actually played taboo!! wah, i really cannot imagine myself trying to play this language game, i'm super lousy at it .. had a delicious christmas log cake from swiss bake (it's really very good, very chocolaty-is that how you spell it?) after we countdown to christmas... 
Bingwei brought jellyhearts, i guess this is not a new thing to many of you out there right? i was my first time eating it and it's really quite interesting to have jelly on a cheesecake.. you should try it .. cannot find any official website, but there's a number you can call to enquire - 94597711
After MJC, it was time for the next item "mascot and you". the organisers told all of us that the dress code for the party was to to dressed silimarly to our mascot, we are allowed to bring anything as out mascot and there'll be a competition with prizes to be won!! here are the contestants
Wah .. i wonder why it took my such a long time to get these photos up... feel free to comment on the mascots and the owners.. most effort should go to cruz and the cosplay guys.. least effort should be yunying, jason can share that prize too.. most bo chap is xiaozhou who never even bring a mascot, he just took the micky that was on my table. most hilarious gotta be xintian with the seashell. zhentao's polly is undeniably the biggest mascot of the day.
