Fine Dining? @ Prego

Yesterday, we had dinner at prego, raffles city. i think the last time i had a meal there was in uni, very very long ago, but i remembered that the food was very good. And this time round we have 25% discount, should be quite worth it. We ordered the calamari (which cost quite a lot more as compared to years ago), the squid ink pasta, the folded pizza and the lasagne (in this photo the lagsana looks a lot bigger than the actual size after i cropped the photo).

"Black pepper for you?" "Yes, you can put them on everything" .... only after i looked at this photo when i got back home, i realised that the customers at the background looked very shocked, was it wrong to have black pepper on calamari and pizza? HAHA .. maybe we should have just asked him to put it over the pasta.

The calamari standard wasn't as good as when it was cheaper, and the serving wasn't bigger even though they increased the price from $17 to $26... the pizza and pasta were good, first time i tried squid ink pasta, not bad at all, i thought it will taste funny, but apparently the squid ink doesn't have any strong taste, and the seafood in it was cooked just right, ooo.. delicious.... lasagne was soso.. you can get this standard quite easily elsewhere. And after the main courses, how can we forget about the famous prego tiramisu. OOHH... looks good rite? it taste as good too!!

Generally, i think dinner was quite good, after 25% off, the bill came out to be about $100. For FINE DINING like that, i think the price is ok ... here are some shots of meili, bingwei and yuanwei, i still haven't learn my lesson that i need to use a flash when there isn't enuff light, so many blur shots (look at the shots of the food, esp the pasta above). When i decided to use the built in flash, the photos came out better but it also attracted a lot more attention and it also causes reflection and unnatural lighting on the sibject. If i have taken out the blg flash attachment, i think everyone will look at us with curiosity and 3 the of them will just run away from me .. haha
