Happy Birthday Yihan
Wow.. This is the 100th posting on my blog!! and i think it's going to be the longest one to date
Ok.. It was yihan's 21st birthday party last sat at orchid country club. we had a good time that evening, all thanks to yihan, i think he started preparing for this event a few months before, looking for the venue, planning the games, guest list, food items etc etc.
Swingz... this is what he named the event, and when we first step into the country club, there were signboards set up to show the guests where to go for this event!! ... it's like attending a wedding dinner .. haha. at the entrance to the lounge we have jon all dressed up to capture everyone's attention in bright bright colours. he's the emcee. need to dress up a bit right?
So thoughtful of yihan to prepare door gifts, he even personalised them for the individual guests.
At 7pm guests started arriving and started signing the guest book. i also realised that he has quite a few friends who brought cameras to help him with photo taking, there were 3 slrs and a video cam for the evening, you dun even have that many photographers at a wedding ceremony.
No party can be without food, it looks very good .. the table setting the food itself, the colour the fragrance .. making everyone hungry.
But... sadly, it looks good but dun tastes that good, only the laksa was really nice, the rest of the food was a little tasteless, something you can take note if you are thinking of using occ, cos you are not allowed to get external caterers.
Afer dinner, it was fun and games time, we were entertained by jon and terry as the hosts for the event. even though there were a few glitches here and there, but i think they did a fantastic job as the emcees, if only the guests were more sporting, the games would have been more fun.
Birthday boy dancing!!... is he doing latin? the crowed got really high when he started dancing.

I hope yihan won't kill me for posting the next photo, cos he doesn't look very good here, but i keep laughing when i see the photo so i think it should share it with everyone..
What's left of the cake after everyone got their share, how come no one's interested in the strawberries?
This is the most enjoyable time of the evening, when he's opening the presents we gave him, it took us 1 hr to wrap (we arrived early at occ and found a quiet corner to wrap, we even had to buy penknife and tape for wrapping because terry forrgotten to bring!!), so it gotta serve the purpose of entertaining us. really messy, added lots of tapioca flour, chilli powder, ginger powder and pepper in the presents. look at the bottom right inset, psi level has just risen 150 points.
Finally he got his presents and we got our entertinment, the staff of occ will be cursing and swearing at us when they clean this place up.
