Wonderful Dinner

Libing was cracking his head for a place for dinner, so i suggested basil alcove since i saw it being reviewed so many times and the food was said to be really good (see here, here , here , here and here) so after reading these, i figured that this is a place i should not miss! so we decided to make a reservation and have our dinner there on a friday evening.

This time, we had a guest, someone in food business will be a good person to review the food with us. seldom get a chance to eat with zhenhong since he's always so busy with the runing of his numerous canteens.. had some time catching up since mingbao and libing are late as usual.. but this time libing was really quite late!!
The ambience they have here is quite good for a place along the pavement in front of a building. much better then i had expected it to be. and probably the weather wasn't warm that evening, it was a wonderful experience to sit by the roadside and chat, jiehong arrived after a while. and we started looking at the menu, thinking of the items we would like to order.

Finally, everyone was here, dinner could be served, but the kitchen was shorthanded, so it took some time before the food arrived, wine was suggested and mingbao chose the australian white which tasted very good!! lots of photos of the food were taken, you can see them here (click to open a new window). dinner was great, a place to go again!!
As usual, i gotta post on jiehong, to show how jerard has grown.. he's getting so big that jiehong is using the tummy as a makeshift table for supporting her hands!! according to the doc, he's scheduled to see the world on 18 sept.. will be choose to come out earlier? any side bets on the birthday of jerard?
