Singapore Fireworks Festival

Went down to esplanade to try my skills at taking fireworks last friday evening. Terry and kelly went early at 6 plus to get a place and the good places were all taken already!! ... Singaporeans are always as kiasu as ever.... so we waited at some elevated spot near the esplanade amphitheatre, tabao long john silver to eat there while waiting and trying out shooting night scenes with the different settings too..... At 9pm sharp, announcement from the PA system was heard and the first flash of fireworks started. That's when we realised that half the "stage area" was blocked by a big tree .... SIANZZZZ ... nevertheless i managed to capture some shots....

After the 10+ minutes of fireworks, everyone started to leave but we stayed on as terry wanted to try using the SLR, but he couldn't even focus correctly.... during this time, we managed to take some nice photos of him and kelly together, i cannot decide which of these 2 photos is nicer, maybe we can have a vote? Add a comment to let me know which you think is better and why. ok?

As usual, after everything, we need to go eat, i think this blog will slowly become place where you guys can come and check out on places with good food. This time round, we went to Maxwell market. Here's the food we ordered.... The fried hokkien mee was superb!! The porridge also quite nice, it's the famous he ji porridge. But the hokkien mee stall doesn't seem to have any reccommendation posters at the stall, so i guess this is one of the hidden delicacy in singapore, do try it out when you go there.... The stall is called Poh Kee....
Look at the Poh Kee Photo.... Does anyone knows why there's this green flare at the uncle's cap? how would i know when will this happen? .. must qing jiao the pros out there already...... anyone??
