First Book Out as a Recruit

Recall the first few days of basic military training, days were hard. all you think about everyday is "how many more days to booking out.. 1st book out was the happiest thing. but that weekend seems to be the shortest weekend you ever had in your life. but still weekends are the times where you treasure the most then.

Borong isn't that lucky. the day after book out, he was down with fever and medication from the gp didn't help, on sunday, he had to go to the a&e department because he was unable to book in and as usual.. saf will tell you that mc from a gp is not a valid excuse.. but he didn't expect to be admitted just because of fever and sore throat, he was a suspected case of early dengue!
So me cruz and zhentao decided to pay a visit to him, and we got him some friuts.. i was to eager to see him that i actually left my camera in the car.. so photos are from my nokia 6230, really cannot stand this low quality photos.. but i managed to catch a shot of his happy face when he see us.. hhmm or isit when he see's the grass jelly that we got for him..You can see more and read more at cruz's blog. Oh something interesting, .. the following conversation was in mandarin.

Male nurse came over to borong with a ear thermometer and took his temperature.
Borong: what's my temperature?
Nurse: 38 (which happen to have a similay meaning to kaypoh in chinese)

haha .. so was his temperature 38 degree or was the nurse tell him him that he shouldn'e be so san ba.. what a good laugh...

Let's hope that it's a false alarm about dengue and that he will get well soon.. he's afriad that by missing too much of bmt, he will get out of course.. For those of you who want to visit him, you can get the info from me..

Cruz and me went for dinner after that while zhentao went gym for his body combat class.. we had dinner at pepper lunch in novena square.. or they call it velocity now... wanted to take a photo of cruz cos he seldom appear my my blog, but he rejected a normal shot cos he claimed that he's very tired and dun look good enuff for public viewing... in the end i got this and i loved this shot.you could still see the smile and the small eyes. although most of the face is covered, but you still see his expression, very natural, loved it....
